Extech Simplifies Environmental Monitoring with USB
Extech recently announced the launch of the Extech TH30, RHT30 and RHT35 compact dataloggers. The new family of three compact environmental recording instruments is designed to provide HVAC/R professionals with easy access to real-time temperature, humidity and barometric pressure readings as well as insights compiled from extended readings preformatted in Excel® or PDF® report formats.
Extech Simplifies Environmental Monitoring with USB
About the size of a large key fob, each of the three new dataloggers is designed for everyday use in troubleshooting HVAC/R and indoor air quality (IAQ) issues related to temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. HVAC/R technicians, commercial facilities managers, IAQ professionals and workplace health managers alike can use the dataloggers to monitor a location for an extended period of time in response to occupant complaints or as part of standard predictive maintenance.
B
Users can “set and forget” the dataloggers with a customizable recording rate from once every 30 seconds to once every 2 hours and a capacity of up to 48,000 combined, total readings with date and time stamps. For multi-site logging, readings can be associated with up to 8 locations. Technicians and occupants can quickly check current readings on the large, high visibility LCD. The MAX/MIN button allows quick access to the highest and lowest readings recorded. High and low thresholds can also be configured to trigger a red flashing LED alarm indicator. When reporting is required, the dataloggers can be connected to a PC or laptop to easily output readings in a Microsoft Excel or Adobe PDF format.
The Extech TH30 simultaneously measures temperatures ranging from -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C) using an internal NTC thermistor sensor and an external probe. Using the probe’s long 84” (2.1m) cord, the external sensor can be placed in nearby registers, returns, vents, rooms, or other locations to easily contrast temperatures. In addition to the internal temperature sensor, the RHT30 adds full range relative humidity measurement capabilities (0.1 to 99.9% RH). The RHT35 measures temperature, humidity and also leverages a MEMS sensor for barometric pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa (8.9 to 32.5 inHg).
All three Extech dataloggers feature a durable housing; a swivel USB cap that doubles as a pedestal for table-top use and a keyhole hanger for wall/shelf mounting. Each is backed by a one-year warranty and comes with two CR2032 batteries.
Extech’s new environmental dataloggers are available now from Extech distributors around the world. To find a distributor in your area, please visit our US support page or our International support page.
